Dr. Michèle Hubli received her PhD in Movement Sciences and Neuroscience from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland and is a research group leader at the Spinal Cord Injury Center at Balgrist University Hospital, University of Zurich. She has a special interest in clinical neurophysiology and the interaction between the nociceptive and the autonomic nervous system. Her group focuses on pathomechanisms of neuropathic pain after spinal cord injury and pain phenotyping strategies using multimodal test batteries including clinical, psychophysical, neurophysiological and neuroimaging readouts.
Michèle Hubli spearheaded an international consortium of experts in electrophysiology to create guidelines for the use of electrophysiological readouts in clinical trials following spinal cord injury. She has co-authored over 50 publications and several book chapters. She serves as a reviewer for many scientific journals and as a current topic editor on Controversies in Neuropathic Pain for Frontiers in Pain Research.
