The International Spinal Cord Injury Summer School is a biennial training program for early-career researchers in neuroscience and spinal cord research. It is jointly organized by Wings for Life and Spinal Research.
The 2026 edition takes place in Stockholm and is supported locally by the Strategic Research Area in Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, as well as Christian Göritz and his team at Karolinska Institutet. The Summer School is additionally co-sponsored by Promobilia.

Wings for Life is a not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation with the single mission to find a cure for spinal cord injury. Since 2004, Wings for Life has funded life-changing research projects and clinical trials around the globe. 100% of all donations go directly to research.
Each year, the Wings for Life World Run brings together participants from all over the world to raise awareness and funds for spinal cord research (The largest running event in the world).

Spinal Research is a UK-based medical research charity dedicated to catalysing and accelerating the development of meaningful treatments for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury. By working collaboratively with scientists, clinicians, patients and funding partners, the organisation pursues its mission of curing paralysis through education, awareness, hosting events and scientific meetings, and making strategic investments in academic, clinical, and commercial R&D.
Together, we will cure paralysis.

StratRegen is a strategic research area in stem cell research and regenerative medicine at Karolinska Institutet, supported by the Swedish government through the program for strategic research areas.
